DID YOU KNOW – HERO INDIAN OPEN
• The Hero Indian Open is to be included on The European Tour for the first time.
• The Hero Indian Open is one of five new events for the 2015 European Tour International Schedule.
The other four are: True Thailand Classic presented by Black Mountain, Shenzen International, Afr/Asia Mauritius Open and Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play.
• The Hero Indian Open will be the first time The European Tour has visited India since the 2013 Avantha Masters, won by Thomas Aiken.
• The Hero Indian Open was first played in 1964 and won by five-time Open Champion, Peter Thomson. He went onto win the event again in 1966 and 1976. Jyoti Randhawa of India equalled the Australian’s record of most wins, having won in 2000, 2006 and 2007.
• The Delhi Golf Club has hosted the Hero Indian Open 27 times previously.
• The Hero Indian Open will be played over the Lodhi Course at Delhi Golf Club.
