• This year the Turkish Airlines Open is the first of the four events of the Final Series.
• The 2013 Turkish Airlines Open marked the first time Turkey has staged a European Tour event.
• In 2013 Turkey became the 41st different nation to stage a European Tour event.
• The Montgomerie Maxx Royal Course was designed by Colin Montgomerie in association with European Golf Design and opened in 2008.
• The Montgomerie Maxx Royal Course is the second European Tour event to be staged on a course with Colin Montgomerie’s involvement. The other one was Carton House (Irish Open).
• The first two winners of the Turkish Airlines Open were both European Tour first-time winners. In 2013 Victor Dubuisson claimed the title, whilst American, Brooks Koepka broke through 12 months ago.
• Brooks Koepka was a graduate from the 2013 European Challenge Tour. The 2014 season was his rookie campaign and was one of two first year players to win, Marco Crespi (NH Collection Open), being the other. This triumph by the American enabled him to finish the season in eighth on the final Race to Dubai standings and with it came the 2014 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year and 2014 Challenge Tour Graduate of the Year awards.
• As a result of winning in 2014, Brooks Koepka was the last of 12 first-time winners on the 2014 European Tour International Schedule.
• To highlight the quality of the 2015 field, there are five Major Champions, four WGC winners, 58 European Tour winners and 22 from the 2015 season winners cometing.
