Donald and Kaymer set for Omega European Masters

Former World Number Ones Luke Donald and Martin Kaymer will tee it up in Crans-Montana later this month at the Omega European Masters, from August 26-29.

Luke Donald

Luke Donald is a former winner at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club, finishing five strokes ahead of Miguel Angel Jiménez to claim the title in 2004, his second victory on the European Tour.

Donald first reached the rank of World Number One in 2011, overtaking Lee Westwood after defeating his compatriot in a play-off at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth as he also completed an historic double that year, becoming the first player to finish the year as both European Tour and PGA TOUR Number One.

Martin Kaymer

Also joining Donald in Switzerland is two-time Major Champion Martin Kaymer, winner of the US PGA Championship in 2010 and U.S. Open in 2014. The 36-year-old will look to build on his impressive recent form in a bid to go one better than his runner up finish at the Omega European Masters in 2011.

Both players have made four appearances for Team Europe at The Ryder Cup, with the pair also selected by Pádraig Harrington as vice captains for this year’s contest at Whistling Straits.
