After 41 events across five continents and 27 countries, we have reached the season finale.

The top 50 available players, along with Europe's Ryder Cup winners Ludvig Åberg and Shane Lowry, on the Race to Dubai Rankings tee it up over the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Rory McIlroy - this week's defending champion - leads the way as he goes in search of a seventh Harry Vardon Trophy and fourth in a row, with three-time winner in 2025 Marco Penge his closest challenger.

From insight into the week’s most-picked players among Fantasy managers, to our ones to watch, we run the rule ahead of Thursday’s deadline to pick your team.

Who are the most picked players?

On the back of his victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Aaron Rai is features in 52% of teams and is the most popular pick.

Alex Noren - a two-time winner this season - is second, followed by Justin Rose, with the experienced pair accounting for 51% and 50% of selections.

Tommy Fleetwood, runner-up last week, is fourth, with fellow European Ryder Cuppers Robert MacIntyre and Shane Lowry picked by 47% of players.

Who are our ones to watch?

Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.

Favourite - Rory McIlroy

Granted it's predictable, but the Northern Irishman is Europe's leading golfer. The World Number Two tops the Race to Dubai Rankings and is bidding to cap a memorable campaign that has featured two individual titles on the DP World Tour schedule and an away Ryder Cup victory with Team Europe. He has also been an ever-present at this event since its inaugural edition in 2009, winning it in 2024, 2015 and 2012 and recording a further eight top tens at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Victory this week would see him move alongside Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton with a fifth Rolex Series title. Motivation is not short in supply.

Form Horse - Tommy Fleetwood

For regular readers of this Fantasy feature, you will be aware that this is the second week running that we've gone for the Englishman but after a runner-up finish in Abu Dhabi it's hard to avoid him! Having been in danger of needing to rely on his status as a Ryder Cup player to play at the season finale in Dubai, he has won in India and then been denied a second DP World Tour title in as many starts by countryman Aaron Rai in a play-off at last week's Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Jumeirah Golf Estates is also home for Fleetwood, who has five top tens - including a runner-up finish in 2019 - over the Earth course. After a year that has seen him win on the PGA TOUR for the first time and win an away Ryder Cup, what better way to finish his year than with more silverware?

Wild Card - Keita Nakajima

Since earning DP World Tour status through his home Tour in Japan in 2023, he has made a big impression on Golf's Global Tour and is on track to further his career by earning dual membership with the PGA TOUR via his performances on the Race to Dubai this season. Already a winner on the DP World Tour during his rookie season last year, the former World Number One amateur has come close to another victory with runner-up finishes in Singapore and twice in India. Confidence was only boosted by a strong showing last week in Abu Dhabi, and he has good memories of his first and only previous appearance at the Earth course having finished in a tie for seventh at the DP World Tour Championship last year.

Looking back - Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship

While he was already a Rolex Series winner, Aaron Rai came into the penultimate event of the season on the back of an eight-week absence so wasn't widely tipped as a stand-out contender for victory.

However, the 4,970 Fantasy players (14.68%) who selected him were rewarded with 269 points. Of those, 139 players picked him as their captain.

Our Favourite Rory McIlroy finished in a tie for third after a closing 62 at Yas Links, with Form Horse Tommy Fleetwood losing out in a play-off and Wild Card Rafa Cabrera Bello finishing in a tie for 62nd.
