E-Z-GO and European Tour Expand Agreement

Glynn Patrick, Managing Director of European Operations at E-Z-GO, made the official announcement at the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth Club, when the long-standing agreement between both parties was cemented.

Patrick said: “There is a long-standing relationship between E-Z-GO and the European Tour whereby E-Z-GO provide golf cars in the UK for officials to use during Tour events. We are delighted to be able to announce that our relationship has been expanded even further and the Tour has opted for the E-Z-GO golf cars as its official golf car.

“We now support not only UK events but also up to 20 events on the Continent. This will mean that Tour officials will be able to benefit from the use of up to eight high-quality cars at each of the designated events. The association of the two brands, E-Z-GO and the European Tour, is a very comfortable one because both brands represent high quality and prestige”.

Textron, the parent company of E-Z-GO, has also acquired Ransomes, whose equipment is used in preparation of Tour events, and Patrick added: “This means the association with the Tour is now even stronger”.

Scott Kelly, Group Marketing Director of the European Tour, welcomed the further strengthening of the relationship between E-Z-GO and the Tour by commenting: “We welcome the increased commitment from E-Z-GO to the European Tour and we are delighted to be associated with such a high quality product”.

Michael King, a Director of European Golf Design and former Ryder Cup Player, also welcomed the new initiative. He said: “E-Z-GO is renowned for its reliability and precision and the Tour Group of Companies will benefit from this enhanced relationship with the Textron Organisation.”
