Early 2008 European Tour Schedule Released

The 2008 European Tour International Schedule will encompass six tournaments in four countries before the end of the 2007 calendar year, with the third edition of the HSBC Champions tournament launching the new season in China from November 8-11.

The US$5,000,000 event, which returns to Sheshan International GC, Shanghai, will be jointly sanctioned by The European Tour, the Asian Tour, the PGA Tour of Australia and the China Golf Association.

The following week, the UBS Hong Kong Open returns to Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling, from November 15-18.

While the Omega Mission Hills World Cup concludes the 2007 season in China from November 22-25, The 2008 European Tour International Schedule continues in Australia the same week with the Aus $1,500,000 MasterCard Masters, co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour of Australasia, at Huntingdale Golf Club, Melbourne.

The European Tour then hops across the Tasman Sea for The New Zealand Open, again co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour of Australasia, at a new venue in The Hills, Queenstown, from November 29 – December 2 with a prize fund of NZ$1,500,000.

The last two events of the calendar year take place in South Africa with the Alfred Dunhill Championship returning to Leopard Creek, Mpumalanaga, for a fourth successive time from December 6-9 before the South African Airways Open moves to the Pearl Valley Signature Golf Estate in Cape Town from December 13-16. Both events are co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour.
