Ernie Els has confirmed that he is to return to Loch Lomond Golf Club to defend his title at The 2004 Barclays Scottish Open, which takes place from July 8–11. Els led from day one last year to secure his second Barclays Scottish Open title. Commenting after his victory, the current World Number Three said: “After the Majors, this is my favourite event in the world. I truly love to come and play at Loch Lomond.”
When confirming his defence of the title, Els said: “I am delighted to be returning to defend my title at The 2004 Barclays Scottish Open. It is a great tournament with a fantastic golf course and a week I look forward to each year.”
Organisers of the £2.2 million Barclays Scottish Open today also announced a special ticket offer for spectators attending this year’’s event. If booked before April 30, 2004, an adult season ticket can be purchased for the discounted price of £50, a saving of £20 on the full season ticket price. The season ticket gives spectators access to the course on all five days of practice and championship play and includes a voucher for a free copy of the Official Tournament Programme. Spectators will also be able to take advantage of free parking at the course.
