European Tour toasts Mouton Cadet at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai

As The European Tour tees off in Dubai for the season’s finale, the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, the Tour’s sponsors and all who enjoy fine wine can raise a toast to Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, with a glass of Mouton Cadet white, red or rosé to celebrate the first year of the new partnership as Official Wine Supplier to The European Tour.

Produced by the family-owned French wine company Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, Mouton Cadet achieves annual sales of 12 million bottles, with 78 per cent of that number exported to 150 countries around the globe, thanks to the company's powerful and extensive sales network.

As well as becoming the Official Wine Supplier to The European Tour, Mouton Cadet has also added their flavour and style to a number of individual tournaments, including the Tour’s flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship, the Irish Open, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, the Alstom Open de France, the Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex and this week’s DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.

Mouton Cadet became a welcome addition to the Tour’s family of sponsors during the vintage BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club and, since that auspicious launch, Hugues Lechanoine, Managing Director of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA and Adrien Laurent, Head of Communication, have carried the banner for Mouton Cadet around the world in association with The European Tour.

As The European Tour’s philosophy is to bring Europe to the world, using its global platform in golf to build friendships and business relationships, there could be no better partner to exemplify those values with which to share a glass of wine in good company.

Scott Kelly, Group Marketing Director for The European Tour, said: “We have been delighted by the warm and generous welcome we have received from Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, and most especially, through Hugues and Adrien, who joined us in support of the European Team at the recent Ryder Cup in Medinah.

“Their encouragement and backing of the Tour as Official Wine Sponsor at many of our key events is greatly appreciated and we very much look forward to developing an already strong relationship in 2013.”

Hugues Lechanoine, Managing Director of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA commented: "We have been made very welcome by The European Tour and its prestigious family of sponsors. I raise a glass of Mouton Cadet to an even more successful season in 2013!
