This week European Tour Weekly travels to just outside Vienna in Austria for the Austrian Golf Open presented by Botarin. There’s a strong field present headed up by US Open champion Graeme McDowell as he finishes off his final preparations for The Ryder Cup. It is the first time The European Tour has visited the impressive Diamond Country Club and as usual, we will be on the range to get all the latest news ahead of the tournament.
We will look back at the most recent European Tour event, and this week that means returning to the KLM Open at Hilversumsche Golf Club where Ryder Cup team member and US PGA champion Martin Kaymer was hoping to continue his recent good form. The KLM Open is also setting a first on The European Tour, as the most environmentally friendly tournament on the circuit. We will be finding exactly what that entails.
And with October 1st looming ever closer we talk to Lee Westwood and find out how his preparations for the Ryder Cup are going.
