Last year Ian Poulter became the first Englishman to win the tournament in its 46-year history. Ian’s victory at Sentosa Golf Club 12 months ago saw him become only the third player of the 2009 season to win wire-to-wire. In an exclusive interview ETW spoke to Ian about his season so far and his thoughts as he prepares to defend his title.

Last week The European Tour was in China for the WGC-HSBC Champions. As always ETW will highlight all the significant moments from Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai.

Whilst in China ETW visited the Silport Golf Academy where some of China’s finest young players hone their skills. We spoke to Lucy Shi, who at aged just 12 is China’s number one girl golfer. We followed Lucy as she got the chance to play at Sheshan International Golf Club with Phil Mickelson and we also hear the World Number Four’s thoughts on Lucy’s potential.

The European Senior Tour season came to a close last week at the OKI Castellón Senior Tour Championship. We take an in-depth look back at the 2010 Senior Tour season where Thailand’s Boonchu Ruangkit has made most of the headlines after an impressive four victories in his rookie season.

Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
