Fantasy Five from the BMW International Open

The BMW International Open saw some impressive performance last week as the last counting event before the European Ryder Cup Team was decided. None more so that Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez, who fired four sub-70 rounds to win the tournament, cement his Ryder Cup place and earn his fans 300,000 fantasy points as the top pick from Pool A.

Hot on his heels was Fenchman Thomas Levet, joint leader after the third round. However a final day 68 was enough to give Levet the runner up spot, and earn his fans 200,000 fantasy points as the top performer from Pool D, whilst also booking his place to Oakland Hills in September.

Germany's Alex Cejka and England's Paul Casey also had solid performances this week finishing in a share of third place as the best placed Pool B picks and earning their fans 93,000 fantasy points each.

Pool C was also a keenly contested affair with Ireland's Paul McGinley and England's David Lynn finishing in a share of sixth position and earning 47,664 fantasy points each.

Finally, Argentine golfer Sebastian Fernandez rounded off a fine week with his biggest cheque of the year and his highest finish so far in 2004, a share for 16th position. He earned 23,805 fantasy points as the top pick from Pool E.

Team of the week was Paul Weston's "Dinkys Duffers" who earned an impressive 612,800 points from a possible Fantasy Five total of 664,469.
