It was a bumper week for any Lee Westwood followers in our Fantasy game as he picked up 705,093 points as Champion and top Pool A pick for the week. Raphaël Jacquelin claimed his third, 3rd placed finish in five tournaments to prove his continued worth as a Pool C player and earned 264,833 points for his fans.
In a tie for sixth place were Henrik Stenson and Richard Sterne each picking up 112,025 as the best placed Pool B and E players respectively and finishing off the Fantasy Five for the week was Korean Charlie Wi, a Pool D player, who perhaps inspired by his fellow countryman's victory the previous week, claimed 57,112 points and his best finish of the season in a tie for 16th place.
One million, two hundred and fifty one thousand and eighty nine points could have been picked up for selecting the Fantasy Five for the dunhill links championship, the final event in our September league.
Finishing in 1st place for the month and picking up a Titleist Vokey Oil-Can Wedge for his efforts was Anthony Moore's Team, See You At The 19th Hole. Those who know him may well do that to share in his celebration! Jo Wilkinson, Markus Schutz, Neil Biggs and Dave Long all pick up a dozen Titleist Pro-V1 golf balls as runners up for the month.
There is now just one monthly league left in which a top-60 finish would qualify for the end-of-season shoout-out and just four more tournaments to sort out the positions in the season league.
