Emanuele Canonica claimed his first ever European Tour title last week at the Johnnie Walker Classic at Gleneagles. Four solid rounds under par for Canonica, the only player to achieve this, saw him claim victory and earn 338,443 fantasy points as the top pick from Pool D for fans of the Italian golfer with prodigious length off the tee.
Englishman Barry Lane and David Lynn and Welshman Bradley Dredge all had fine weeks in Scotland. They all finished in a tie for second place, two shots behind Canonica and earn their fans 135,095 fantasy points as the joint best performing players from Pool B.
It was a good week for Italian golfers as Franceso Molinari claimed his best finish on the European Tour so far, finishing in a tie for 6th a shot back from Lane, Lynn and Dredge. He also secured the largest cheque of his career, earning his fans 65,997 fantasy points as the top man in Pool E. A shot further back were France's Raphael Jacquelin and England's Steve Webster whose strong weeks earned their fans 41,832 fantasy points as the top picks from Pool C.
Paul Lawrie kept up his solid form in 2005 finishing tied 26th and earning fans of the 1999 Open Champion 18,682 fantasy points as the best performing player from Pool A.
Team of the Week went to "Edo-hard" managed by Edoardo Sobrero who earned an impressive 570,095 fantasy points from a possible Fantasy Five Total of 600,049.
