Australian Adam Scott carried his great form in to the 2005 Johnnie Walker Classic, and notched up his first victory on the 2005 European Tour International Schedule in four starts. A course record 63 on the wind delayed first round established a lead he was never to lose over the four days, with victory earning his fans 305,049 fantasy points as the top pick from pool B.
Scott's nearest rival was South African Major Winner Retief Goosen, whose fine, steady play and three sub-70 rounds left him three shots back of Scott on 18 under par. As the best performer in Pool A, Retief earned his fans 203,356 fantasy points.
Pool C top gun was Scotland's Steven O'Hara. The promising 24 year old carded a 65 in the second round to help him earn his fans 32,809 fantasy points and finish in a tie for tenth place, along with Pool D best pick, Spain's Santiago Luna. Luna's first top ten from seven starts this season helped him earn his fans 32,809 fantasy points also.
A final round 75 did not detract from a fine week for Englishman Simon Wakefield. He continued his good form that saw him finish tied for seventh in Madeira two weeks ago, and earned his fans 10,982 fantasy points as the high flyer in Pool E.
Team of the Week went to "Aussie Rules" managed by Brett Irwin, who earned an impressive 554,573 fantasy points out of a possible total of 585,005 in a week when many of the big names of European golf were present.
