Englishman Luke Donald captured his maiden victory on The European Tour with a composed final round of 69 to win the Scandinavian Masters by Carlsberg by a comfortable five shots. Donald was a great pick as the best performer in Pool D, winning his fans 266,660 fantasy points and boosting his chance of a possible Ryder Cup place.
Swedish golfers Peter Hanson and Henrik Stenson both produced their best finishes on The European Tour in 2004. Inspired by generous local support, Hanson and Stenson performed solidly all week finishing in a tie for second place and winning their fans 138,965 fantasy points each as the top picks from Pool E and Pool C respectively.
Englishman Ian Poulter, and Scotsman Colin Montgomerie both finished very strongly in the final round, shooting 65 and 67 respectively, whilst bolstering their own cases for a potential Ryder Cup call up. They finished in a share of fourth place earning their fans 73,920 fantasy points each, with Montgomerie finishing as the top pick from Pool A and Poulter the best performer in Pool B.
Team of the week were "SAMS THE MAN" managed by Chris Morfitt earning an impressive 510,265 points from a possible Fantasy Five total of 692,430 points.
Monthly champion for July is team "Fluffyballs" managed by Arthur Penlington, who wins a TaylorMade rac Black wedge. The four runners-up who will each win a dozen maxfli golf balls are: John Barnsdale, Joe McGahan, David Garlant and Richard Rawlings.
