Calum Hill

The 26-year-old has finished inside the top 14 in seven of his last 11 starts on the European Tour, including a tied-8th on his last outing at the British Masters. He won three times on the Challenge Tour in 12 months between August 2018 and August 2019, with the last of those coming in Denmark. He’s performing comfortably above average in every area of the game statistically and has the 5th best scoring average this season.

Joost Luiten

The Dutchman was on a nice run of T7-T12-T8 finishes prior to his withdrawal at the Tenerife Open. He’s not played this event before, but it feels like a course that’s well suited to his game. He’s 9th on Tour in greens in regulation and 4th in bogeys per round, so he’s giving himself plenty of scoring opportunities and keeping dropped shots off the card.

Soren Kjeldsen

The experienced Dane has won four times on the European Tour and he’s shown he can still compete on relatively shorter courses like Himmerland. He finished tied-2nd here in 2015 and tied-8th in 2016, and he recorded an encouraging tied-19th in his last start at the British Masters. The elder statesmen have performed well of late, so why not Kjeldsen on home soil?

Bob MacIntyre

Bob returns to Europe with another major championship cut under his belt. He is on a mission to get into this year's Ryder Cup team and he won’t let a poor finish on Sunday stop him. The world number 46 only turned professional in 2017, but finds his way into my team nearly every time he tee’s it up in Europe. With 5 top 20’s this season and new irons in the bag which he loves, Bob will be taking dead aim at all the flags this week in Denmark.

Matthias Schwab

The Austrian top 10’d at the event in 2019 His recent form is also good with 4 top 10’s this season. Schwab ranks in the top 25 for driving accuracy and greens in regulation this year and has a below 70 stroke average. He falls down in the putting stats (136th) but you have to think one of these weeks if he putts half decent he can turn a top 10 into a win.

Thorbjorn Olesen

The five-time European Tour winner has only played three tournaments this year, but he finished tied-5th in the Gran Canaria Open and tied-12th in the Tenerife Open. It’s only a small sample size, but he fourth in the Tour in scoring average and ‘strokes gained - putting’ from those twelve rounds. Thorbjorn returns home this week and expectation low. I think he will fly under the radar
