Having weighed up the facts and numbers from recent weeks, our stats guru has come up with the following three players you might want to put into your European Tour Fantasy Race to Dubai team this week at the Lyoness Open powered by Sporthilfe Cashback Card.
Pick of the favourites: Bernd Wiesberger

Few men in the field this week can boast the sort of record that Wiesberger can at this venue. A winner at Diamond Country Club in 2012, this week’s home favourite has also recorded two more top fives here since the tournament re-joined the European Tour International Schedule in 2006.
While Wiesberger took a share of fifth back in 2011, he stormed to victory 12 months later, winning with a 19 under par total, three shots clear of his nearest challenger. He used his local knowledge to push Mikael Lundberg all the way in 2014, only to beaten by the Swede in a play-off.
The 30 year old returns to his native Austria on the back of a top 15 finish at the BMW PGA Championship. With an impressive record at Diamond and a week’s preparation under his belt following a solid showing at Wentworth, his 12th appearance in his national Open could be another successful one.
The Form Horse: Chris Wood

After claiming what he described as the biggest victory of his career at the BMW PGA Championship, you couldn’t blame Chris Wood for arriving at a course he conquered 12 months ago in confident mood.
A final round of 69 on the West Course helped the Englishman to his third win on the European Tour. His aim this week will be to channel that winning formula again in an attempt to become the first man to win this tournament in consecutive years.
Having experienced the winning feeling at Diamond Country Club, Wood, the highest-ranked man in the field, should be one of the most fearless players around when he tees off on Thursday.
The Wild Card: Lasse Jensen

Lasse Jensen is another man who arrives in Austria on the back of a career-changing result. The Dane, who went 40 holes without a dropped shot at the Nordea Masters, caught the eye with a round of 66 on Saturday. It was Sunday where he really excelled, though, making two eagles, holing out from 152 yards for one of them, on the way to an outright second placed finish.
He also impressed Ryder Cup vice captain Thomas Bjørn, his playing partner, during his standout round on Saturday. The veteran Dane was so taken by his fellow countryman’s performance that he joked he would mention his performance to European Captain Darren Clarke.
Jensen will still be heading to Austria as an outsider for victory, but his performance in Sweden has shown he’s capable of upsetting the odds, making him a worthy inclusion in your Fantasy side.
