Fantasy three to watch in Denmark

After unheralded American Paul Peterson’s maiden win at last week’s D+D REAL Czech Masters, the focus turns to Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort this week and the unique event that is Made in Denmark.

David Lipsky

With the action set to get under way in Farsø on Thursday, europeantour.com’s stats guru has poured through the form book to highlight a trio of players you might want to consider for your Fantasy teams this week.

Pick of the favourites: Martin Kaymer

Martin Kaymer

With a fourth consecutive Ryder Cup appearance beckoning, this week’s event in Denmark represents the last chance for Martin Kaymer to press his case for a wildcard selection and a place in Darren Clarke’s Team Europe for The 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine. The German will make his debut at Made in Denmark this week but comes into the event having recorded seven finishes inside the top 15 in his last nine appearances, including five top tens. Kaymer’s solid approach play should be well-rewarded at Himmerland and after closing out his Olympic campaign in Rio with a fine 66, the 31 year old is rightfully considered amongst the very favourites for victory in the third edition of Made in Denmark.

Form horse: Bradley Dredge

Bradley Dredge

At 27th in the Race to Dubai currently, Bradley Dredge is on course for his best season on the European Tour since 2007, when the Welshman finished 23rd in the season-long contest. Dredge has been in consistent nick this term with just three missed cuts in 15 starts so far this season – including three top ten finishes. The 43 year old will arrive at Himmerland confident of extending that strong run of form after finishing second to Marc Warren here in 2014 and tied sixth last year, with seven of Dredge’s eight career rounds on the Backtee Course coming in under par.

Wildcard: David Lipsky

David Lipsky

It might be two years since David Lipsky’s one and only European Tour triumph but we have a feeling the American could well be featuring in the upper echelons of the leaderboard come Sunday evening in Denmark. Lipsky has finished inside the top 15 in each of the last two years at Made in Denmark, while a sixth place finish last week in Prague shows the 28 year old isn’t short of some current form. As if to further exemplify his credentials for Himmerland success, think about the venue of his solitary Tour win – namely Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzlerand. None too long, tight and twisty, Denmark could be made for David.

Those are our three picks, now it's time to make yours. Whether you are playing theFantasy Race to Dubaior ournew Daily Fantasy Game, be sure to make your picks before Wednesday night. Good luck!
