Fantasy Three to Watch in England

This week the European Tour makes the short trip across the border from Scotland to England for this week’s British Masters supported by Sky Sports. The Grove will host its first professional event since crowning Tiger Woods as the winner of the 2006 WGC – American Express Championship ten years ago. But who in the field this week has the potential to lift the trophy on Sunday?.

Thongchai Jaidee

At 46 years old Thongchai Jaidee continue to roll back the years with his play on the European Tour. For the first time he has won in three consecutive seasons having taken home the trophy at 100th Open de France in July. The Thai finished in the top 20 in his last start at the Porsche European Open two weeks ago and arrives in England on the back of 13 straight rounds of 72 or better. Jaidee is one of very few players who will tee it up at The Grove with some course form too, having finished in the top ten at the WGC – American Express Championship back in 2006.

Form Horse: Ross Fisher

Ross Fisher

Having finished runner-up in consecutive starts on The European Tour, no one fits the mold of Form Horse more than Ross Fisher. Having come agonizingly close at the Porsche European Open and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the Englishman will be hoping to go one place better in his homeland this week. Fisher is 38 under par for his last seven rounds and ranks in the top 20 on Tour in both Stroke Average and Greens in Regulation. Fisher has 19 top 20 finishes since his last win back in 2014 and is showing the kind of form that suggests his sixth European Tour title is on the horizon.

Wildcard: Fabrizio Zanotti

Fabrizio Zanotti of Paraguay lines up on the 5th hole

Since finishing runner-up to Matt Fitzpatrick at the British Masters last year, Fabrizio Zanotti has flown under the radar but has steadily put together an impressive season so far. The Paraguayan has eight top 35 finishes in his last nine starts, including the Olympics, and finished seventh in his last start on English soil at the BMW PGA Championship back in May. Armed with a long game that ranks second on Tour in Driving Accuracy so far this year, don’t be surprised to see Zanotti’s name on the leaderboard (again!) this weekend.

Those are our three picks, now it's time to make yours. Whether you are playing theFantasy Race to Dubaior ournew Daily Fantasy Game, be sure to make your picks before Wednesday night. Good luck!
