Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño holds a one stroke lead at the midway point of the Dunlop Phoenix 2011 after the Spaniard carded a second round 66 to move to eight under par.
Fernandez-Castaño, who won last week's Barclays Singapore Open, collected six birdies and a bogey at Phoenix Country Club to finish the day one ahead of Hideto Tanihara.
Tanihara returned a two under 69 to sit seven under while Tetsuya Haraguchi's 70 saw him reach six under par.
Shane Lowry was also well placed at four under following the Irishman's second round 69 that contained three birdies and a bogey.
