Finn Kölle marvelled at his brilliant DP World Tour debut on home soil after the amateur finished in a share of 30th at the 2026 BMW International Open.
The 21-year-old was living the dream at Golfclub München Eichenried and eased into the weekend after carding opening rounds of 67 and 70 to sit in contention.
His title challenge faded with a level-par 72 and a 74 on Sunday, but he still managed to finish in style after birdieing the final hole for the fourth day in a row to the delight of the home crowd.
Kölle is now hoping to return to Munich for years to come in a bid to get rid of his amateur status.
"It's just amazing, it was unbelievable," the German said. "I enjoyed every second of it and especially the crowd, unbelievable, I love it.
"It's probably the most people I've ever played [in front of] before, the bunker shot nearly went in and everyone went crazy, it was awesome.
"No (I didn't expect this performance). I was just trying to enjoy it and gain some experience out of it, and to finish like that and make the cut. The cut was the goal, but the rest is just extra.
"It's like a dream come true actually, I dreamed of doing things like this as a little kid growing up and to do this - I don't know how to describe it.
"I know I'm capable of playing here with the best guys in Europe, so I just have to work on a couple of things and clean things up, and then I hope I will be out here at some points (as a professional).
