The Fantasy Race to Dubai returns to Europe this week and the excitement is building but do you have the right players to finish in the top 15 at the end of the season?
One Major is gone but, in terms of prize money, there is still two thirds of the season’s prize money to play for and these next few weeks could prove pivotal.
Your team might be earning good money now but are all members of your squad in the top 15 of The Race to Dubai, and more importantly will they stay there, as that is all that counts in the Fantasy Race to Dubai.
If your player finishes the season outside the top 15, all the points that player has accumulated will be lost and count for nothing. A player finishing in 16th at the end of the season is as valuable as the player in 120th as their money is worthless. It is all about finishing in the top 15 on The Race to Dubai, so are you sure all your current squad will finish that high?
But if you ditch players now and they finish in the top 15, you will lose that money as well. The fact that players only contribute prize money while in your team, only the top 15 count and outgoing players forfeit all their earnings once released from your team will provide plenty of twists and turns throughout the season.
If Fantasy Race to Dubai was to finish now, would all your players be in the top 15? Ernie Els, for example, has been picked by many but if Fantasy Race to Dubai was to finish now, Els would count for nothing as he is currently in 17th place and therefore outside the cut-off mark.
Thongchai Jaidee won the Ballantine’s Championship on Jeju Island in Korea last week to rise to eighth on the current Race to Dubai and earn valuable points for anyone with him in their team. But will he be in the top 15 come the end of the season? If he is, then Jaidee is a great selection but if he drops out of the top 15, he is worth nothing to your cause.
Ray’s All Stars are leading the way in the Fantasy Race to Dubai overall leaderboard and his 15 players have clearly enjoyed a good start to the campaign. But has he got it right in terms of figuring out who will finish in the top 15?
The current top 15 on the Race to Dubai is below. But with so much prize money still up for grabs, there is sure to be plenty of movement before the season’s climax in the Dubai World Championship.

This week focus turns to the Open de Espana at PGA Golf de Catalunya for the first of a run of European events that builds up to the BMW PGA Championship at the end of May. The BMW PGA Championship is The European Tour’s Flagship event offering prize money of €4,500,000 and this sequence of events has traditionally proved critical in establishing the upper order.
Will you stick with the players who have done all the early running, confident they will last the course? Are there players out there who tend to peak mid-season not yet in your team? Or perhaps some players are saving their powder for a late charge on the Race to Dubai?
