New Zealander Ryan Fox has been named the February Golfer of the Month presented by DP World after 51.6 per cent of fans voted for the Kiwi across Twitter.

The 35-year-old picked up his second DP World Tour title at the Ras al Khaimah Classic in wire-to-wire fashion, posting rounds of of 69-65-69 to finish five strokes clear of England's Ross Fisher. Fox's win took him into the top ten of the DP World Tour Rankings and ended a near three-year winless drought.

In what was a close voting contest, Fox narrowly edged out Denmark's Nicolai Højgaard who received 48.4 per cent of the public vote. Højgaard won the Ras al Khaimah Championship presented by Phoenix Capital, the first of a two week stay in the Emirati. The young Dane put on a clinic, firing rounds of 67-65-64-68 to comfortably win by four shots. It was his second DP World Tour title to go alongside the Italian Open he won last September.
