Gary Player, an Honorary Member of The European Tour, is congratulated by John McEnroe and Michael Johnson upon receiving the Laureus Lifetime achievement Award on May 20, 2003, in recognition of is magnificent sporting career and the work he has done for underprivileged children in South Africa through the Player Foundation. The Laureus World Sports Awards, were staged for the fourth time at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, honouring the greatest sportsmen and women from around the world in all sports.
