Pre-tournament favourite Simon Dyson produced some imperious golf during his bogey free opening round of 67. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 35 year old Englishman hit 13/14 fairways and 17/18 Greens in Regulation, scoring well across the different hole types. After a poor first half of the season by his high standards, the six time European Tour winner is starting to show some excellent form. Don’t be surprised if he romps away with this one.

Rikard KARLBERG -5
Rikard Karlberg started his first round with two bogeys, but from there he fired an eagle and five birdies to finish with a superb 67. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 26 year old Swedish golfer hit 10/14 fairways and 13/18 Greens in Regulation, plus he Scrambled for Par 4/5 times (which included two Sand Saves) and took just 25 putts in total over the gorgeous Tseleevo course.

Wen-chong Liang converted six birdies against just one bogey on his way to a cracking first round 67, to tie for the lead with Dyson and Karlberg. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 34 year old golfer from China looked strong from tee to green, hitting 13/14 fairways and 15/18 Greens in Regulation, plus he ranked 2nd for Par 4 Scoring with a 3.80 average.
