Genworth Stats Pack - Round 2 Review

Peter Uihlein converted five bogeys against one bogey on his way to a second round 68, to tie for the lead at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 23 year old talent from the United States has only managed to hit 28.6% of the fairways, but he is averaging a huge 309 yards for Driving Distance, plus his touch on and around the greens has been sublime (accumulating 19 single putts over the first 36 holes).

Robert Rock fired one eagle and four birdies during a fantastic bogey free second round of 66 to tie Peter Uihlein for the lead. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 36 year old Englishman is driving the ball nice and straight off the tee and hitting almost 70% of the Greens in Regulation, plus he is scrambling for Par more than 90% of the time when missing the greens.

Home favourite Shane Lowry recovered well from a rocky start today and then finished with two birdies for a second round 70, to jump into contention. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 26 year old Irish golfer seems to be performing well on the greens and making lots of birdies. With so many of the big Irish names missing the cut, the local fans will be urging Shane on to finish well.

José María Olazábal converted six birdies against three bogeys on his way to a second round 69. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 47 year old Spanish maestro has only managed to hit 39.3% of the fairways but his Greens in Regulation stats are a very impressive 72.2%, plus he is performing well across the different hole types (being the Par 3’s / Par 4’s / Par 5’s).

Round 1 leader Oscar Floren stayed in contention at the half way stage with a second round 71 which consisted of four birdies and three bogeys. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 29 year old Swedish golfer is looking solid from tee to green, hitting 67.9% of the fairways and 69.4% of the greens, plus he is scrambling well for Par, resulting in few mistakes in the tricky conditions.

Joost Luiten converted four birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round 70 (his 14th under Par round of golf in a row). Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 27 year old golfer from the Netherlands continues to perform strongly with the longer clubs, hitting 60.7% of the fairways and an amazing 83.3% of the Greens in Regulation. It is all very impressive.

Ricardo Santos fired one eagle and six birdies against two bogeys on his way to a superb second round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the same as Olazábal, the 30 year old golfer from Portugal has only managed to hit 39.3% of the fairways, but his Greens in Regulation stats are an even more impressive 77.8%.
