Marcus FRASER -9
Marcus Fraser seems to be a short game wizard this week. Just look at his Genworth Statistics. He ranks 1st for Scrambles (12/12), 1st for Sand Saves (3/3), 4th for Putts per GIR (1.625), 2nd for Putts per Round (25.5) and 1st for 1 Putts (with 22 single putts over the first 36 holes). You may never again see a better set of short game statistics over a 36 holes stretch.

Sergio GARCIA -9
Sergio Garcia has been very impressive over the first two days. He has played the Par 3 holes steadily (paring all 8 of them) and has converted ten birdies against just one bogey on the Par 4’s and Par 5’s. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, Sergio has driven the ball long and straight, and he has hit 31/36 Greens in Regulation (86.1%). With the putting also going well, his game is like a smooth running engine, ready to step up a gear and go.

Martin KAYMER -9
In our tournament preview we highlighted that Martin Kaymer’s results are improving year on year over the Doha course. After two rounds he ranks 2nd for the Genworth Scrambles statistic (with a fantastic 10/11 conversion rate) and he seems to be putting very well. He ranks tied 1st for Par 3 Scoring (with a 2.63 average) and he has already holed two shots from off the green. Martin may need to improve his accuracy from the tee over the weekend though to stay ahead, with such a bunched leaderboard.

Ricardo Santos has accumulated more birdies than any other player in the field (13). So far this week he has hit the ball long off the tee and has managed 72.2% Greens in Regulation. His main strength is still on the greens though, ranking well in all of the Genworth Putting statistics. The same as Martin Kaymer, Ricardo may need to improve his accuracy from the tee over the weekend.
