Round 4 of the Omega European Masters produced 47 sub-par rounds and a field average score of 69.47. Thomas Björn emerged as the winner from a playoff against Craig Lee, with Dubuisson and Cañizares finishing as their closest challengers. We analyse their performances and round up the final Genworth Statistics leaders.

Thomas BJÖRN -20
Thomas Björn navigated the new and improved Crans-sur-Sierre layout without dropping a single shot on his way to a brilliant fourth round 65, and then emerged as the winner from a playoff against Craig Lee. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 42 year old Great Dane performed steadily with the longer clubs but he really excelled with his course management and his short game around the greens (ranking 1st for Scrambling with an incredible 18/20 up and downs for Par). Overall, the now 14 time European Tour winner dropped the fewest shots of all the players in the field (just two bogeys) and as a result of this win, he climbs up to 8th position on the Race to Dubai.

Craig LEE -20
Craig Lee also threaded his way around Crans-sur-Sierre without dropping a single shot, on his way to a fourth round 67, to make it into the playoff and eventually finish runner up. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 36 year old Scottish golfer was solid across the board, accumulating more birdies than any other player in the field (25 in total). And much like Björn, he ranked very high in each of the short game categories, being arguably the best putter of the week. With this result Craig climbs out of the danger zone and up into 55th position on the Race to Dubai.

Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 23 year old French talent followed the trend of the leading players, with what appears to be steady tee to green play plus a great touch on and around the greens. But looking closer, we can see that he actually produced some excellent stats on the Par 5’s, ranking 1st for Par 5’s in 2 (with no less than 8 sub-regulation hits) and 3rd for overall Par 5 Scoring with a 4.19 average. With this result Victor climbs up to 41st position on the Race to Dubai.

Alejandro CAÑIZARES -18
Alejandro Cañizares converted one eagle and four birdies against two bogeys on his way to a fourth round 67, to finish two behind in fourth. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 30 year old Spanish golfer yet again followed the leading trend of steady tee to green play with a superb touch on and around the greens (the short game really has been the vital ingredient over the tricky Crans-sur-Sierre course), plus he produced an even better Par 5 Scoring average than Dubuisson of 4.00 (that’s outstanding). With this result Alejandro climbs up to 52 position on the Race to Dubai.
