It has since developed into one of the premier golf clubs in the country where Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Hj Mohd Khamil Jamil together with Datuk Mohamad Razeek Md. Hussain, the Chief Operating Officer, Property and Services of DRB-HICOM Berhad share the same aspiration in raising Glenmarie to the pinnacle of the golfing industry.

The name “Glenmarie” derived from a Scottish word of “glen' meaning 'small, narrow and secluded valley” whereby  'Marie' is  a French meaning  of “beauty” and “grace” that represents the Clubhouse and services that are offered to members and guests.

The Valley and Garden Courses were designed by American architect Max Wexler. From 2008 to 2009, another renowned course designer, Ted Parslow re-designed the Valley Course.

The EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM was played at the Garden Course in 2014 and it will be used again for the second edition in 2016.

The club’s motto – In Pursuit of Perfection – reflects the Glenmarie’s continuous determination to be one of the most prestigious and premier golf clubs in Malaysia. It operates through the member's proprietary private membership club business model and is known to be a haven to all golfers for either leisure golfing or hosting international golf tournaments such as the EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM.

Since 1999, Glenmarie has won several awards and accolades and the club has left a mark within the golf society locally and internationally with exceptional club facilities, night golfing and outstanding event facilities in the clubhouse and the adjoining hotel.

It is the vision and mission of DRB-HICOM as the owner of the club to continue this success and they are dedicated to Glenmarie and to ensuring the satisfaction of its members and guests.
