Ricardo Gonzalez of Argentina won the Open de Sevilla at the Real Golf Club in Seville, Spain. Ricardo moves up to World Number 69 and is now the top-ranked South American golfer in the world.
Meanwhile on the US PGA Tour at the MCI Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina American Stewart Cink won a play-off to come out on top and moved up 21 positions to World Number 22 on the latest Official World Golf Ranking. European Tour Member Ernie Els shot a final round 69 to finish in a tie for third but the South African remains at World Number Three. Alongside him in third place was Carl Pettersson of Sweden, who moved up 24 places to World Number 114.
Other European Tour Members to finish well on the US PGA Tour were Justin Rose who finished equal seventh to move up to World Number 62, and Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland, whose tie for 11th place saw him remain at World Number 15.
