Retief Goosen teamed up with senior Allan Henning over the Pecanwood Estate course with a second round 10-under-par for the betterball medal victory at the Nelson Mandela Invitational in South Africa.
Goosen clinched their 19-under-par triumph by holing a 15-metre bunker shot on the last to seal the R250000 reward for the pair in the PricewaterhouseCoopers event.
Gary Player rallied his foursome of Don Gammon, basketball legend Julius Erving and Dave King to claim the alliance medal with a combined 39-under par that beat the 32-under generated by David Frost, Gabriel Putsoe, Nigel Mansell and Rod Clare.
"This is really a great format," said Goosen. "I'd love to come back again next year. The concept of a senior, a regular, a celebrity and a businessman worked well here, because the guys played very well."
Briton Brian Davis, finished with 65 for the best score of the day, followed by his senior partner Simon Hobday with 69.
