The European Tour Members are challenging strongly for their debut vcitories in America on the US PGA Tour after both shot four under par 68s in the third round to be on 15 under par 201 total through 54 holes. Hansen, the winner of The European Tour's flagship event, The BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club, has shot 69-64-68, while Pettersson has shot 66-67-68.
England's Brian Davis, in tied 48th place after rounds of 65-73, added a 68 to move up to tied 31st, where Sweden's Fredrik Jacobsen also lies after scores of 70-66-70.
Germany's Alex Cjeka is tied 43rd on nine under par after rounds of 68-67-72.
