The British Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, are poised to salute the 56 strong field who tee off in the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, on Thursday.
The fly past comes as the Red Arrows arrive in Dubai as part of an extensive Middle East tour, coinciding with The European Tour’s season-ending tournament in The 2013 Race to Dubai at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The distinctive red jets will mark the occasion with a spectacular fly past a exactly 12.35pm, just five minutes before Race leaders Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose hit their opening tee shots on the Earth Course.
It will be a case of Heaven meets Earth as the Red Arrows fly over the course in precision formation as they arrive in the city as part of a hectic five week tour of the region in which they are performing in Al Ain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
Thousands of spectators are expected to watch the Red Arrows during their five engagements at the Dubai Air Show later this week. Those at the displays will see the Red Arrows perform a series of precision formations and dynamic loops and rolls.
Officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows represent the United Kingdom and have been thrilling crowds, at home and overseas, since the 1960s.
