Hepworth Chips in for Charity

James Hepworth of England chipped in from a bunker at the last hole to win £3,000 for the Red Bull Final 5 challenge in aid of Sport Relief on day one of The Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters at the Marriott Forest of Arden.

His birdie gave him a total of three under par for the Final 5 holes beating a host of rivals at two under par.

In the following group were a number of notable Final 5 players including Miguel Angel Jiménez of Spain, who is currently ranked tenth on The European Tour Final 5 stats. Only a bogey on his last hole prevented him from joining Hepworth on three under par.

Red Bull is giving £1,000 for each shot under par for the best score for each round of The Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters.

Should any player beat ten under par on the Final 5 holes across all four rounds of the tournament then they will pocket a further £10,000 for Sport Relief. Only one player, Ignacio Garrido, has achieved ten under par on the Tour so far this year.

Red Bull will be repeating the Final 5 for Sport Relief at the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth Club and the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
