For the 53rd successive year, the historic Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling will play host to the Hong Kong Open, which has been part of The European Tour SChedule since 2002. Once again, it will be the final counting event for players to try and break into the top 60 who will go on the following week to contest the Dubai World Championship. Last year it was Englishman Ian Poulter who triumphed, landing his tenth European Tour title. He joined a roll of honour that also includes José Maria Olazábal, Padraig Harrington, Miguel Angel Jiménez and Colin Montgomerie.
