Horsey’s hot putter runs Kang close

England’s David Horsey was in superb form with the putter as he made a late charge for the title in the Maybank Malaysian Open, eventually finishing  in a four way tie for second a stroke behind winner Anthony Kang of America. The Genworth Financial Statistics for the week show that the 23 year old topped both the Putts Per Green in Regulation and Putts Per Round categories.

Horsey showed the sort of touch on the greens that helped him finish as the 2008 European Challenge Tour Number One, with an average of 27.0 Putts Per Round and an average of 1.641 Putts Per Hole. He was also consistent off the tee, finishing 17th in the Driving Accuracy category, finding 62.5 per cent of fairways.
