Miguel Angel Jiménez’s second UBS Hong Kong open victory was based on the Spaniard’s excellent approach play to the greens of the Hong Kong Golf Club as well as his ability to convert the plethora of birdie chances that came from his superb iron game.
Jiménez was ranked second in the Genworth Financial Statistics Greens in Regulation category and fifth in the Putts per Greens in Regulation category as he compiled his winning total of 15 under par 265. The 43 year old’s 15 under winning total gave him a stroke average of 66.30 as he ensured the 14th European Tour victory of his career and first prize of €255,710.
