It was a history-making week for Justin Rose on the PGA TOUR.
Dominant from start to finish at the Farmers Insurance Open, the Englishman set a number of tournament records on his way to victory at Torrey Pines.
Rounds of 62-65-68-70 saw the 45-year-old win his 13th PGA TOUR title, jumping him from tenth to third in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Here, we look at some of the statistics following his sensational San Diego showing.
‘Sorry T-dub…’
Speaking in his post-round victory interview, Rose made reference to breaking the 72-hole tournament record last set by Tiger Woods in 1999.
His closing total of 23-under-par (265) was one better than Woods and George Burns in 1987.
“Sorry, T-dub, if you’re watching,” Rose said in his post-round interview on the 18th green.
Rose later added: “I was keenly aware of it, actually. It was the only thing I was focused on the last three holes.”
• In the 74-year history of the tournament, he is the third player, and first since Tommy Bolt in 1955, to record a wire-to-wire victory.
• At the age of 45, he is the oldest wire-to-wire winner on the PGA Tour since Rocco Mediate won the 2010 Procore Championship at 47.
• Earlier in the week, he set the 36-hole scoring record in the Farmers Insurance Open at 17-under-par (127).
• Across the tournament, he extended his lead after each round — by one shot, four shots, six shots and then a seven-shot margin, the largest of his career.
• He has risen to third in the world rankings, his highest position since June 2019 and having been 55th after last year’s edition of the same event.
• He is the second-oldest player in the top three of the Official World Golf Ranking after Vijay Singh was 45 years, 8 months in 2008.
