Peter Lawrie’s driving accuracy helped him to victory at the Open de España. The Irishman had a Driving Accuracy of 69.6 per cent, finishing fifth best in the category while runner up Ignacio Garrido of Spain was 61st with 42.9 per cent.
Lawrie’s figure of 80.6 per cent was third best in the Greens in Regulation category, behind Garrido who topped the section. His putting was also consistent in Seville, finishing 14th in the Putts Per Round Section with 29.2. A strong putting performance from Dane Søren Hansen helped him to a third place finish, while he was also second in the Putts Per Round category with 27.7.
