Mark Hensby Wins the Scandinavian Masters by Carlsberg to Move Up to World Number 28

Mark Hensby from Australia won the Scandinavian Masters by Carlsberg after a play-off with Sweden’’s Henrik Stenson. It was only Hensby’’s second appearance in Europe following his tied 15th place in the Open Championship at St. Andrews. Hensby climbs 6 places to World Number 28 while Stenson is closing in on a World Top 50 spot in 59th place.

Vijay Singh retained his Buick Open title at Warwick Hills on the PGA Tour. He won by four strokes from Zach Johnson and Tiger Woods. Woods and Singh remain World Number One and Two respectively and Zach Johnson makes a 12 place jump into the World Top 50 in 41st position.

On the Japan Golf Tour Tatsuhiko Takahashi was victorious at the Aiful Cup played at Daisen Ark Country Club in Tottori. Takahashi moves up to World Number 250.

The week’’s other winner were Joe Daley at the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open on the Nationwide Tour and Marc Warren at the European Challenge Tour’’s Ireland Ryder Cup Challenge, both players surviving sudden-death play-offs
