Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick became the first pair of brothers to win on the PGA TOUR as they claimed a record-breaking victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The English duo prevailed on a gripping final day in the team event - which sees pairs play two rounds of fourballs and two rounds of foursomes - as they scrapped to a final-round 71 and a 31 under total.
That record-low total gave them a one-shot victory over Norwegian duo Kristoffer Reitan and Kris Ventura and American pair Alex Smalley and Hayden Springer, with the all-Danish team of Rasmus Neergarrd-Petersen and Jacob Skov Olesen a further two shots back.
Major Champion Matt Fitzpatrick has long been a dual member on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR and now Alex will join him alongside Reitan and Neergaard-Petersen, who earned that status via the 2025 Race to Dubai Rankings.
The win at TPC Louisiana continues a stellar run of form for both Fitzpatricks, with Matt having won the PGA TOUR's Valspar Championship and RBC Heritage in the last six weeks, while Alex won his first DP World Tour title at the Hero Indian Open last month.
"To win a team event on the PGA TOUR with my brother, I don't know if it does get better than that," said Matt.
"I do think, seriously believe for me personally, it's just under a Major. That winning this together with Alex, that's how special it feels. To get it over the line the way we did and to hang in there on the back nine, yeah, is incredible."
Alex added: "We both grew up wanting to be the best golfer we can possibly be and be one of the best players in the world. He is one of the best players in the world. I'm biased, I think he's the best player in the world. It's just my opinion, even though... the stats wouldn't say so.

"I'm incredibly appreciative of him, everything that he does for me. There's just so many little things that I'm sure that he does that I don't know about that he does for me as well. Yeah, I'm obviously incredibly lucky to have him as my brother.
"I don't think there's many people that can say, you know, one of the best players in the world is your brother, but also, just what he does for me. Yeah, just love him to bits. There's not much more to say."
A third-round 57 had marked the lowest round in event history and 30 under was the lowest 54-hole score but come the 72nd hole, the Fitzpatricks only found themselves in a share of the lead.
Matt then seized the moment, hitting a brilliant bunker shot to just outside a foot on the 18th, leaving Alex a birdie putt to seal the magic moment.

"It's funny," said Alex. "Matt put his arm around me after he just stiffed it to a foot on the last. I was crouching there. Part of my head was going, 'Oh, my God, we're going to win', and the other half was going, 'I need to stay focused, I could still miss this'.
"But he put his arm around me, it was like all the times when we were at Hallamshire Golf Club, our home golf club in Sheffield, you know, and you are putting on the putting green and you have a putt to win a PGA TOUR event or a Major or whatever, and stood there with the ability to win a PGA TOUR event with just a foot left.
"It was an amazing thing. Yeah, never thought it would happen."
