McDowell’s accuracy pays off in Scotland

Graeme McDowell’s unnerving accuracy in hitting the greens with his irons was the major reason behind his second European Tour win of the season at The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond. The Irishman finished top of the Greens In Regulation category, compiled by Genworth Financial, making 83.3 per cent compared to runner up James Kingston who was fourth with 77.8 per cent.

McDowell was also in fine form off the tee, finishing in 11th in the Driving Accuracy category after finding 80.4 per cent of fairways across the four days. He had a Stroke Average of 67.8 en route to his two shot victory.
