Players, officials and hospitality guests at this month’s Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open will have live access to the world of golf at the touch of a button.
Mitel Networks, a leading provider of IP communications, today announced they will supply the communications solution for the Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open. The solution will be deployed in tournament facilities and enable seamless voice, video, and data connectivity for staff and visitors. Mitel Networks will also offer a range of online services to enhance event management and benefit players and guests.

The solution will be available in the players’ lounge, the tournament and European Tour offices and to corporate hospitality staff. The Gold Pavilion will feature the Mitel Networks 3300 Integrated Communications Platform (ICP) and a range of applications and IP handsets.

Taking place on the par 72 Wentwood Hills on May 29 – June 1, this year’s Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open will feature seven-times European number 1 Colin Montgomerie, defending champion Paul Lawrie and the 2002 Ryder Cup captain and vice-captain Sam Torrance and Ian Woosnam. They will be competing for a share of the £1.5 million prize fund, an increase of £400,000 on last year.
