Ireland’’s Gary Murphy has moved to the top of Category 11 on The European Tour following the second Re-Rank of the season which took place after the inaugural Nordic Open.
The 30 year old from Kilkenny has enjoyed a marvellous recent spell of form which saw him finish fourth in the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, a performance which guaranteed his place in the 132nd Open Golf Championship at Royal St George’’s where he subsequently finished tied for the 32nd.
Another good showing in the Nissan Irish Open at Portmarnock saw him tie for 11th and move to the top of the Re-Rank with €317,828. South African Charl Schwartzel is second with €249,913 while Stephen Scahill of New Zealand is third with €246,127.
