La Paz Hospital in Madrid has issued an updated statement on the condition of Seve Ballesteros.
The latest statement reads as follows: “We understand that everyone needs information on the condition of Mr Ballesteros but it is difficult to give a statement every day because this is a very slow process that requires many procedures.
“It is true that a tracheotomy has been performed yesterday (Tuesday) but there are many procedures like this that are part of the protocol and have been established in similar cases. We hope that it is understood that we cannot explain every step that the doctors take because they need time to work and it also brings lots of pressure to the family concerned.
“We can assure everyone that if there is any more important news – no matter what time of the day – we will let you know.”
