New Ticketing Arrangements for the Smurfit European Open

Spectators attending the Smurfit European Open at The K Club, Straffan, Country Kildare, Ireland, will pay less in 2003 following today’’s announcement that ticket prices will be pegged at 2002 levels and car parking for the event from July 3-6 will be free of charge for the first time.

In addition, new ticketing arrangements have been put in place for the ninth edition of the Smurfit European Open at The K Club. Tickets are now available on the Internet as well as a Lo-call telephone service through Sportsticketing.com which entitles spectators who book in advance to special discounts.

Five-day adult season tickets, covering the Pro-Am and four days of the Championship, will again be fixed at a bargain price of €75 while daily prices are held at €35 from Thursday to Sunday and €15 on Wednesday. Advance bookings will entitle the bearer to discounts of €10 and €5 respectively.

Youths and Senior Citizens pay only €15 for any one day of the tournament from 3-6 July, or €10 if purchased in advance. Again, there is no charge on Wednesday, July 2 or for Junior Season tickets, in keeping with last year’’s policy.
