Nick Price, winner of seven titles on The European Tour International Schedule including the 1994 Open Championship at Turnberry, has been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Price, 46, cut his teeth on The European Tour in the late seventies and early eighties before making America his home, winning his first title in 1980 when he captured the Swiss Open.
Since then he has gone on to win three Major Championships, adding the 1992 and 1994 US PGA Championship titles to his Open Championship victory, and 34 other titles worldwide.
He topped the US PGA Tour Money List in 1993 and 1994 and was named Player of the Year on both occasions.
Price was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on October 20th along with Leo Diegel, Hisako “Chako” Higuchi and Annika Sorenstam. The World Golf Hall of Fame is the focal point of the World Golf Village - a place that honor's golf's greatest player's and contributors for their skill, dedication and integrity.
European Tour Members in the World Golf Hall of Fame are Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Sir Henry Cotton, Severiano Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman and Tony Jacklin. Neil Coles, John Jacobs and Sir Michael Bonallack have been recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
