Niclas Fasth Wins The Deutsche Bank Players’ Championship of Europe in a Play-Off from Angel Cabrera

Niclas Fasth of Sweden won the Deutsche Bank Players’’ Championship of Europe at Gut Kaden in Hamburg at the third extra hole having tied with Argentinean Angel Cabrera on 14 under par after 72 holes, 36 of which were played on Sunday following a washout on Thursday. Fasth, with his second European Tour win of the season, climbs to joint World Number 61, an improvement of 60 places.

Ben Crane earned his second PGA TOUR victory at the US Bank Championship in Milwaukee by four strokes over Scott Verplank. The win takes Crane to World Number 63, an improvement of 31 places.

On the Japan Golf Tour Lin Keng-Chi was victorious at the Sega Sammy Cup played at The North Country Golf Club in Hokkaido. Lin moves up to World Number 307.

Canadian Jon Mills won the Canadian PGA Championship on the Nationwide Tour and jumps up the Official World Golf Ranking into 377th position, a rise of 161 places.
