Spectators are reminded that they have until April 30 to take advantage of discounted rates for Open Golf Championship season tickets. Season tickets are valid for all eight days of Championship play and practice at a cost of £140, representing a saving of 40% on the daily admission rates.
"We have been delighted with our advance bookings that show an increase on the comparable figures for 1997," said David Hill, Director of Championships. "We would advise spectators who intend to come to The Open to purchase discounted season tickets before the end of April."
Juveniles under 16 will again be admitted free of charge, subject to conditions, and there are substantial concessions for senior citizens and youths.
