Pettersson has lead at Wyndham Championship

Sweden's Carl Pettersson holds the lead at the Wyndham Championship after shooting a sizzling nine under par 61 in the second round.

Taking advantage of calm morning conditions, the European Tour Member scorched Sedgefield to the tune of 11 birdies and surged ahead of the field.

Pettersson's 15 under 125 halfway total matched the PGA Tour record-low score for the opening two rounds of a tournament and gave him a three-shot lead over American Garrett Willis. After going eight under for the day through 14 holes, he briefly flirted with a possible 59, but bogeyed the par five 15th.

Paul Casey, vying for a spot on the Europe's Ryder Cup team, shot a 66 and is four under. Vijai Singh shot a two over par 72 to miss the cut.
